How to get rid of boils?

As a kid I used to get boils all the time** They are very sore and most of them were on my legs by the hip or on the butt. An old lady that my grandmother knew told me that she used to get them also and how very painful they are and needless to say, gross. Well she told me to eat lots of raisins as something in them kills the bacteria or virus in your system .
It is worth a tryy It worked for me and I have never had them sincen
