Natural treatment for sty in the eye
Dip a soft cotton cloth or a cotton ball in warm water and place it over your eyes for a few minutes. Remove it when cold and repeat the process. The heat increases blood supply, clears away the pus and cures infection.
Do this 4 or 5 times for a few days even when the stye has healed.
Dip a normal tea bag in warm water or take a chamomile tea bag and place it over your eyes and remove after sometime. Tannic acid in tea helps in treating the sty.
Wash the sty with lukewarm water several times a day.
Do not touch your eyes with your hands or rub them.
Be careful of the make-up you use and always wash your hands before self treating your eye.
Grate raw potatoes and make a poultice to compress your eyes with it. This will reduce swelling and pain.
Rub some cloves in water and apply it over the sty several times a day to control pain.
Take an Aloe Vera leaf, slit it and place it over your eyes so that the gel soaks your eyes. Do this 2 to 3 times a day.
Wash your eyes with 1 cup of water in which 3 granules of alum has been dissolved.
