Alternative cures for heel spur pain
  • Do not walk barefoot if you are suffering from heel spur pain as it will stretch the ligaments and increase instability of your gait.
  • Wear shoes which have a heel of around 1 inch. This will take the pressure away from your heels.

  • Use a pair of arch supports made of sponge rubber and heel cups to alleviate the stress from your heels.
  • Massage your heels regularly and use your thumb to apply pressure on the area.
  • Wrap some crushed ice in a soft cotton cloth and apply it to your heels for 10 to 15 minutes.

Repeat this cold compress several times a day.
  • You can also warm up your heels with the help of a heating pad to ease pain as well as increase blood circulation.
  • Avoid wearing high heels and use flat heeled and comfortable foot wear.
  • Exercise your calf muscles and stretch them to relax the muscles.
  • Soak a cotton cloth in apple cider vinegar and wrap it around your heels and cover it with a plastic sheet. Leave it overnight and massage your heels with some oil after removing it.
  • Drink Alfalfa tea 4 to 5 times a day for a month and after that reduce it to every alternate day.
