Mix 75 ml each of beet, carrot, cucumber and parsley juice and consume it daily once till your periods last. This relieves cramps and regularizes blood flow.
Pound a fresh piece of ginger and boil in 1 cup of water. Add sugar to taste and drink this thrice after each meal. This is especially good if you are having lower abdominal pain.
Boil 6 gms of coriander seeds in ½ liter of water and take it off when it has boiled to half its quantity. Add sugar and drink when it becomes warm. This controls excessive bleeding.
Cook 1 banana flower and eat it with 1 cup of curd. This also reduces bleeding by increasing the formation of progesterone.
You can also do deep breathing exercises and certain light exercises during menstruation.
