Diet advice on echinacea tea - To make an Echinacea tea, you need to have at least 2oz. of the dried or fresh herbs. Unless you have Echinacea tea mix in tea bags already, you will need an herbal infuser.
Put the herbs into the infuser. Bring 4 cups of water to boil in a pan. Add two tea bags or the herbal infuser. Boil for 20 minutes and then let sit for 10 minutes before drinking. The tea will be strong, but it will give you all of the healing properties of Echinacea. Echinacea is an herb known throughout history and throughout the world for its healing properties. It has been known to shorten the duration of colds, coughs, and the flu because it stimulates the immune system. It is gentle enough to be used for children, especially if mixed with Goldenseal. Echinacea can be found in many commercially prepared all natural cold medicines and cough syrups or drops. Echinacea has also proven helpful with cancer treatments and athlete’s foot. Echinacea tea should be drunk every 2 to 4 hours for maximum effectiveness, since it stimulates the immune system Echinacea needs to be taken for prolonged periods of time to keep the immune system boosted.
