Diet advice for kidney stones -

For kidney stones, it is now you should be eating or not eating, the way you should be drinking or not drinking.  Since the kidneys are the body’s filtration system it is what you drink that affects them.  That said, and the most important thing to do to avoid kidney stones is avoiding alcohol consumption.  The second most important thing is drinking at least 4qt. of pure water each day.  Avoiding excessive consumption of carbonated beverages will also be helpful.  The reason it is important to drink water and lots of it is that this helps flush out the kidneys to keep them healthy.  You can also take an herbal supplement the milk thistle to help promote kidney and liver health and function.  By doing these simple things, you’ll be sparing yourself what is considered to be most painful experience any human can go through including child Birth!   Most people have debris in their kidneys of one form or another that they are passed when they’re so small that you don’t notice them.  The reason we’re past when there’s a small most of the time is because you’re drinking enough water to flush them out.  The only time that they become problem, is when they are large enough to get stuck in the urethra.  The pain is caused by the rough edges of the stone scraping the inside of the urethra.  Not a very pleasant concept.
