Natural cure for diaper rash -

Here are some things you can do to help diaper rash. If your baby is in cloth diapers, avoid using the plastic diaper covers whenever possible as these do not allow the skin to breathe. Change your baby’s diapers every 2 hours or sooner if they are wet. Avoid using baby powder or lotion that is scented, these may be the cause of your diaper rash. Try to avoid using baby wipes that contain alcohol…imagine how your skin would feel if you wiped down a sore rash with rubbing alcohol! When your baby has bowl movements, instead of scrubbing with wipes, take warm water mixed with a little baby oil and spray your baby then wipe with a soft cloth. This will help avoid rashes in the future. It is also a good idea to allow your baby to go without a diaper for 15 to 20 minutes after you change his diaper. This will allow his skin to dry naturally and get some air before getting covered up again. This is the fastest way to heal a diaper rash. It is also a good idea to apply a thick layer of cream or ointment that will provide a protective barrier between your baby and the waste/moisture from the diaper. This will help prevent and heal diaper rash.
