Planning a diet chart depends on various important factors like age, sex, physical activity, present and previous medical history, and lifestyle. For an individualized diet chart consult a registered dietician who would help to plan a diet for you according to your present intake, need and likes and dislikes.

Ladies finger and jackfruit do contain carbohydrate. 100g of ladies finger and 100g jackfruit provides 6.4g and 19.8g of carbohydrate respectively.
Pulses and dals are in general good source of protein and of particular importance in vegetarian diet. They provide approximately 20-25g protein per 100g with an exception of soybean (soybean is a rich source of protein providing 43g of protein per 100g of soybean). Dals also contain good amount of B-complex vitamins, calcium, phosphorus and iron. Dals especially are low in sodium and high in potassium (which is an ideal combination for individuals with hypertension). To increase the protein quality of dals and pulses, they can be consumed in combination with cereals.

Fruits and vegetables are not considered as a good source of protein as they approximately provide 0.7-1 g protein per 100g. but never the less they are a very good source of various vitamins and minerals like vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, sodium, phosphorous, magnesium, manganese and most important of all fiber.
