Diet advice for pregnant women - - Ginger root in a meager quantity say just a pinch of its powder for colds, cough and gastric upset in maximum 2 doses per day is harmless for a pregnant women.
- In excess and multiple doses, it may lead to hypermotility of the bowels and may lead to false labor pains in full term pregnancy or may excite an abortion in the first trimester.
- It's better to avoid ginger root in the first 6 weeks of confirmed pregnancy.
