Health advice on erectile dysfunction

How can I help my spouse if he has Erectile Dysfunction or Early ejaculation?
( 9 Sep 2007)

Erectile dysfunction refers to an inability to achieve adequate erection for sexual activity. Although it strikes to older man usually after the age 60, it can occur at any age.
Early or premature ejaculation means that a man reaches orgasm too fast.

It is a common problem among many men but with appropriate and right treatment it is easiest to treat it as well.
  • Practice makes a man perfect – this is true in case of the treating early ejaculation. Have sex often avoid long gaps between your sexual sessions.
  • Try to stimulate his penis till it reaches the stage of ejaculation then stop, repeat the process until he learns to control his ejaculation.
  • Try different ways for arousal, consider having a good foreplay before the main act.
  • Avoid exercising before a sexual activity as exercising draws blood away from penis to the organs which are used while exercising.
  • To strengthen pelvic muscles perform Kegels exercise. This involves contracting buttocks for a second as though you are tying to stop or delay a bowel movement. This will help to have control over contraction and relaxation and delay premature ejaculation.
  • Learn to relax, have a balanced meal which is low in fats and cholesterol. Exercise regularly to maintain good health and avoid smoking.
