Pinched nerve is a term for nerve pain / impaired function of a nerve that is under stress. This happens to nerves that have power over muscle activities and to nerves that transmit vibrations to the brain. A visit to your physician might surely prove beneficial. But, before that, remember these easy-to-do home remedies:

  • Take breaks while performing a job
  • Wear a splint/brace
  • Try to change positions often in between work
  • Lie on a firm mattress for several hours before resuming light duties
  • Do not lift heavy objects
  • Rub and gently shake out affected limb
  • Sit in a heated bathtub or jacuzzi to allow strained leg muscles to loosen and relax
  • An application of heat-generating sport or analgesic cream can be beneficial
  • Lie down letting the affected limb to hang below body
  • An electric heating pad placed on the affected area of the leg helps.
