Dizziness can be caused by a number of reasons as it is not a disease itself but a symptom. These causes include certain medications, dehydration, fainting, ear problem or some other underlying problem.
- As soon as you feel dizzy focus on a particular point that is stationary this will help to pass the dizzy phase quickly.
- Don’t jump and stand right away from sleeping position. Instead sit slowly for two minutes and then stand up.
- Keep yourself well hydrated especially in summer when the chances of water loss via perspiration are highest.
- Take a look at your medicines as dizziness may be a side effect of certain medication.
- Avoid alcohol, diet drinks, coffee and sugary or starchy foods till you get back to normal.
