For healthy living and to avoid any upsets of gall bladder you should follow a low-fat diet, as the amount of bile secreted from the gallbladder which is required to digest fat is compromised. A low fat diet will promote adequate rest for your gall bladder and avoid any kind of complications. Remember the following points for a gallbladder diet which will also help in the planning of your breakfast -
- Weight loss is essential at a gradual pace.
- Breakfast should consist of whole cereals and complex carbohydrate foods, fresh fruits (preferably with skin) for fiber.
- Large meals especially during bed time should be avoided.
- Include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet.
And avoid carbonated beverages. - Avoid red meat, organ meats, egg yolk, animal fat, processed and denatured food, pickles, oily, fried or greasy food, refined carbohydrates, alcohol, coffee and sugar.
