A cramp is a result of sudden painful involuntary contraction or spasm of muscles. It can be caused by heavy exercise, strain, illness or cold. Try these home remedies to ease your cramps -
- Sit and relax in one place after you get a cramp.
Try to drink a cup of hot water, tea or coffee. - For a muscular cramp massaging the muscle opposite to the one that is causing cramp would help. For example if you are getting cramp in your upper thigh massage the lower part of the thigh.
- Hot compresses help a lot to ease a cramp. Place a bag or bottle filled with hot water or a hot towel on the area of cramp and leave it till you feel relaxed.
