Try the following remedies to treat ear infection -
To ease the ear pain caused due to ear infection warm water compresses works best. Place a bottle filled with warm water near the ear causing pain to ease the situation.
Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties.
Few drops of tea tree oil would also work wonders for ear infection.
2-3 drops of warm olive oil or warm mustard oil poured in ear would also be helpful in treating ear infections.
Do not prick the ear with toothpicks, finger or hair pins as it would increase the chances of infection.
Ear candles should be avoided as a treatment of ear infections due to its high risk of burns.
If the infection is too severe or if the problem still persists, consult a specialist to avoid any complications related it.
