Pinched neck can be due to various reasons like bad posture while sleeping or working which causes lot of pain and also restricts the body movements considerably.
Wrap ice cubes in a plastic bag or a towel and use this as compress to relieve the pain in the neck.
You can also use hot compress to heal the pinched nerve.
Try both to see which one is more effective for you.
Gently massage the area that is pinched. Be careful; don’t be too hard over the sore spot.
Avoid carrying heavy weight objects and strenuous activities, which could worsen the pain. Sleep on a flat surface; avoid taking cushion below your neck.
