Treatment for bee sting
During the summer months bees and wasps are always buzzing around and are more than likely to bite an unexpected person. However, unless you saw the bee bite you, it is not safe to assume that a bee was responsible for the painful little lump on your body. A visit to the doctor should clear any doubts about the reason for the bite.
One of the first things to do on being bitten by a bee is to use some water and wash the area well. Using cod later helps soothe the bite. You can also wash the bite in warm water.
If the bite is very painful, you can pack some ice cubes in a bag and hold this over the sting. Remember not to scratch, pinch or squeeze the bite. Most insects leave their sting embedded in your skin. Use a pair of tweezers and remove the sting so that you don't break it and leave part of it inside the skin.
One of the easiest ways to reduce the pain and make the swelling go down requires a spoon of baking powder. Simply mix the baking powder with a couple of drops of water. Apply this on the sting. It helps the sting hurt a little less.
Another remedy you can try is to apply toothpaste on the sting. This will help reduce the pain and bring down the swelling.
