Here are some home remedies to aid in healing your stomach from the complications of colitis. Drink plenty of water daily to prevent dehydration. A glass of mint juice daily, is also beneficial for the treatment of colitis. Add a half teaspoon of dry ginger to a glass of water and drink daily. Drink lots and lots of juice daily till you see any relief in the the symptoms of colitis. You may take juices like Papaya juice, raw cabbage juice, and carrot juice. Citrus juices should be avoided. Other food that will help are bananas, coconut, rice and wheat grass, try adding these foods to your diet.
