By following some lifestyle changes and simple diet you can eliminate the problem of gas or flatulence.
- Relax and eat quietly and slowly by chewing each mosel thoroughly and just don’t gulp the food.
- Gas forming foods include potatoes, beans, milk, onions, cabbage, carrots, prune juice, wheat products, fatty foods,
carbonated beverages, and Brussels sprouts.
These foods however should not be eliminated from the diet completely, but can be reduced to certain extent.
- Don’t sleep immediately after a meal, at least relax for 2 hours before going to bed.
- Avoid chewing gums, hard candies, drinking fluids through a bottle with narrow mouth as all these increase the swallowing of air in the GI tract.
