One of the best home remedies for peeling skin on the palms and the face is grated cucumber. Grated cucumber can be applied on the affected areas for 15-20 minutes and then rubbed off. Mint juice can also be applied and left to dry overnight when suffering from peeling skin.
A mixture of olive oil, honey, turmeric and sandalwood paste is also one of the natural cures for peeling skin. This mixture helps in rejuvenating parched and dry skin when used regularly. Plain olive oil can also be applied on the hands, feet and even the face in case of peeling skin.
Similarly plain honey is also one of the best home remedies for peeling skin. Honey can be massaged on to the affected parts for at least 15-20 minutes and then rinsed off with cold water. Honey contains water, glucose oil, fructose and enzymes which help in naturally moisturizing the skin. One of the other effective natural cures for peeling skin is lemon. A lemon cut in half can be rubbed on the skin for at least 5 minutes and the juice should be left to dry before rinsing it off. This remedy should be repeated thrice a day to get rid of peeling skin.

What causes peeling skin on hands, and palms?
Peeling skin on the hands and palms is a very common occurrence and is often overlooked because of the fact that it is rarely seen as a major medical problem. While all the skin cells in the human body undergo a regular amount of regeneration and replacement, excessive peeling of the skin is unusual. The condition may be known as focal palm peeling and is usually preceded by an outbreak of air filled blisters right across the affected areas of the palms and hands. The peeling of the skin will occur once these blisters burst. The other common causes of peeling skin include the presence of hand dermatitis, psoriasis and Tinea Manuum, which are all medical conditions that are concerned with the renewal of skin cells in the affected regions.
Since this is a very common condition, there are a number of different home remedies to help deal with the symptoms of peeling skin. One of the highly recommended ones include grating a cucumber and applying it over the affected area for about 15 to 20 minutes helps prevent dryness which could be the root cause of the problem. Honey, olive oil or a mixture of sandalwood and turmeric could have a very effective rejuvenating effect on dry skin.

Are there any diets that can help treat peeling skin?
Many people follow a number of diets for healthy skin but very few get the results they desire. This is mainly because most people are unaware what foods they should or should not eat in order to get and maintain healthy skin. Skin problems like peeling and excessive dryness are often a result of vitamin A deficiency. Therefore some of the best foods for healthy skin which are also rich in vitamin A include milk products, eggs and carrots. Other nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and proteins are also equally important for healthy skin and these can be obtained from vegetables like cabbage, spinach, cauliflower and other green vegetables.
While following specific diets for healthy skin and peeling problems it is important to avoid meat and meat products as they can worsen the problems further. Oily and spicy foods should also be avoided as far as possible. Diets for healthy skin should also include plenty of fresh fruit juices which not only provide essential nutrients for the body but also help in keeping the skin moisturized. Cucumber is one of the best foods for healthy skin and it can either be eaten or even applied on the skin incase of peeling problems.
