Cat scratch fever can be a result of a cat scratch, cat bite or bacteria from cat’s saliva. This is a problem for people with weaker immune system. In most of the cases the symptoms like fever clears on its own without any treatment.


However if your fever lasts for several days it would be advisable to visit a specialist who would suggest some antibiotics to clear bacterial infection. It is not contagious form person to person, so you need not isolate yourself. Take care in future to prevent cat scratch disease don’t provoke the cat to give you a scratch and maintain appropriate hygiene by washing hands thoroughly after handling your cat.
