Myasthenia gravis is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease involving weakness of the muscles in the body that worsens after exercise and improves after periods of rest. Various medications are available to suppress production of abnormal antibodies.
It is important to learn how to cope with the symptoms of myasthenia gravis. Try to eat food when you have good control over your facial muscles. Save your energy by using electrical appliances at home and keep the home clean to avoid any accidents. Learn some relaxation techniques and avoid emotional and physical stress as far as possible.
