People commonly resort to various means in order to lose weight. The most common ways of weight reduction are going on a diet and following a regular exercise or workout regime. These are actually the best ways to reduce weight.
It is advisable to consume diet foods instead of going on a diet and then complement this diet plan with workouts.
Here are few tips on ways to lose weight.
- There are certain foods that accelerate the process of weight reduction and grapefruit is one such food. You are advised to consume half a grape fruit or a cup of grapefruit juice as grapefruit fastens the pace of your metabolism, hinders the absorption of fat, and thereby helps in weight loss.
- Certain spices are supposed to accelerate the metabolic rate. Red pepper is one such spice that must be included in culinary preparations to lose weight.
- Avoid the consumption of regular dairy products as these hinder the absorption of calcium in the intestines, which in turn leads to a hindrance in the production of calcitriol, a chemical substance that helps in burning fats. You may instead consume low fat dairy products.
- Certain foods like jalapeno and cayenne peppers contain an enzyme called capsaicin, which boosts the rate of your metabolism by regulating your heart beat and as such, these foods must be included in your diet.
- Fibrous foods are very helping in eliminating waste from the body as these foods helps in cleansing the bowel, thereby reducing the toxin and residue content of the body, leading to weight loss. Some other fiber rich foods are cucumber, cabbage, lettuce, carrot, radish and tomato.
- Foods that are high in Omega 3 fatty acid content like tuna, sardines and salmon also boost up the metabolism and such must be included in your diet.
- You may also consume zero or negative calorie foods. Some such foods are asparagus, broccoli, beet, chicory, spinach, strawberries, cranberries, garden cress, turnip, green beans, pineapples, celery, chili peppers, raspberries, strawberries, cranberries, apples, tangerines, papayas, peaches, cantaloupe, watermelon, turnip garlic and onions.
- You may resort to a low fat and low cholesterol diet to reduce your weight in a healthy manner.
- You must drink a lot of water, as water is highly instrumental in dissolving the extra fat and letting it out of the body.
- You must exercise regularly to lose the extra fat from your body. This will help you lose weight, tone your body and also cleanse the toxins out of your body.

I drink a large glass of water before every meal so I feel full and don't eat as much.
