This depends on what you do while encased in plastic wrap and what the “preparation” is.  Just wrapping yourself in saran wrap will help by acting as a type of sweat suit. Unfortunately, unless handled correctly, this can also cause you to become dehydrated and therefore cause your electrolytes to become imbalanced.

A better way to lose body fat is to exercise and increase the protein in your diet, which will build lean muscle instead of fat. Drinking lots of water can help flush extra fat out of your system as well. It is important to treat weight loss carefully to avoid nasty complications.

There are many things you can do to get rid of excess body fat and protein intake is one of them. Try whey or soy protein for an extra healthy protein boost. Tuna fish is also wonderful and it is a trick employed by many people who need to lower their body fat percentage (like in the military). I know some guys who where in the military and in order to lower their body fat, they would eat boiled eggs for breakfast, several cans of tuna fish for lunch, and some fruit and more eggs or tuna fish for dinner. This in combination with exercise would lower their body fat quickly while building healthy, lean muscle. Obviously, stay away from fatty, fried foods. Try to boil, steam, or bake anything that needs to be cooked.
