A pile, or hemorrhoids as they are medically termed, is the severe inflammation of the veins around the rectum, causing much pain and discomfort. The condition comes with a lot of social embarrassment, making a lot of people that are affected by it, unwilling to discuss or even acknowledge their plight. The condition is extremely common and is known to affect about fifty to seventy five percent of the entire American population at some stage of their lives.
Pressure being exerted on the walls of the rectum tends to weaken the muscles that support the hemorrhoidal vessels - resulting in a sac like protrusion either within the rectal canal or under the skin around the anus. Hemorrhoids are known to exist in two forms. Internal hemorrhoids are the less painful or completely painless and are not visible. The more painful type and visibly prominent type are the external hemorrhoids where the inflamed veins protrude from the anus. The most common occurrences of the condition are a combination of these two types of hemorrhoids, where it will usually start out as an internal hemorrhoid and later start to protrude.
Hemorrhoids are often triggered when excessive pressure is exerted on the anorectal area for a considerable period of time. As a result, not many individuals are aware that being seated for long hours, a very frequent occurrence in some professions, can be the primary cause of the condition. Other factors that will also cause some strain on this are include being obese, pregnancy, excessive straining during a bowel movement, vomiting, a low fiber diet and anal intercourse amongst many others. While the condition can cause the affected individual to experience a significant amount of pain and discomfort, it is not known to affect the fertility of the individual – meaning that you husband should be able to impregnate you barring any other medical complications that result in infertility.
In order to help cure him of the condition, you should include a significant amount of fiber in his diet. This helps prevent constipation, which causes a strain on the bowel muscles. You must also make sure that your husband stays away from foods like spicy food, nuts as well as alcohol and coffee. In order to keep the digestive process in running condition, drinking a lot of water is also highly beneficial. Your husband should drink a minimum of eight glasses of water during the course of the day for best results.

A swelling of the varicose vein resulting in itching and bleeding is piles. Conception is not hindered by piles. Guidance of your physician and gynaecologist is beneficial.
