Treatment for blood shot eyes

In bloodshot eyes the tiny blood vessels in the eyes that are inflamed and dilated as a result the white part of the eye seems red. This can be due to various reasons like lack of sleep, allergies, infection, sun exposure, trauma, drinking alcohol, tiredness or irritation.

Try these home remedies to treat your bloodshot eyes - 

• Splash your eyes with cold water several times a day, cold water will help to constrict the blood vessels and even lubricate your eyes keeping them cool.
  
  
  
• Dip two cotton balls in cold skim milk and drain excess milk so that it does not drain from the cotton balls. Place these balls on your eyes and relax for 10-15 minutes. Cold compresses would also help to cure the bloodshot eyes.
  
  
  
• Include a healthy balanced diet include grapes and emphasize on B-complex vitamins to heal your condition.
