Follow these simple tips and home remedies for eczema - - Completely avoid the substances that stress your skin and trigger an allergic reaction, for example if you are allergic to soy or fish then avoid them completely to avoid the symptoms.
- Make a paste with nutmeg powder and water. Apply this on the affected scratchy skin.
- Sandalwood paste and camphor paste when mixed in equal proportion and applied on the skin will also act as a great coolant.
- To keep your skin hydrated pat it dry lightly after a bath and apply almond oil mixed with mineral oil or castor oil.
- Cold compressed can be applied on the itchy skin to reduce the itchiness.
Avoid too much exposure to warm water as it can dry your skin fast. - Although it is difficult to resist try to avoid scratching. A starched skin is difficult to heal and bacteria can get in through the cracks easily, causing infection. Choose mild soaps that are for sensitive skin. Your dermatologist can help you with this according to your skin type.
