Instead of going the pill popping and expensive dermatologist way, you can get the skin you want without spending a lot of money using these oily skin remedies.

The first step is to figure out what are the triggers that increase oil secretion or sebum production on your face. You need to stop that behavior to first bring down the oiliness. Once that is done, you have take good care of the skin in order to improve its texture and youth.

Usually oily skin is hereditary but changing hormone levels can also affect the oil secreted by the skin. Sometimes a bad diet keeps this problem active in adults too. Start consuming lesser fried stuff and eat more raw stuff like fruits and vegetables. A celery stick instead of a candy bar is what you should pick!

A coarse paste of almonds with honey applied on the face can help reduce the oil production. Adding baking soda to liquid face washes and applying on the face, especially in the oily regions, is known to help. Lime and cucumber juice brings down sebum production. The citrus in this mix even helps tighten the pores which tend to open up more in oily skins. Applying egg yolk and letting it dry out is a great way to reducing the oiliness of your skin. Oatmeal that is cooked, egg white, mashed apple and lemon juice make a great oil reducing face pack. Rubbing a tomato slice or applying tomato juice on your face also helps to reduce the oil secretion. A mixture of aloe vera, yogurt and mixed strawberries works as a great astringent on oily skins. Yogurt with Fuller’s earth makes a great mask as does mashed papaya.

Tips for fair skin include not stepping out in the sun without adequate sunscreen cover. Sunscreen is very important as you need to protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun, whether your skin is light or dark. You can get fair skin naturally with home remedies like easy face packs. One such face pack is a combination of cucumber juice, lemon juice and honey. There are chemical peels to lighten the skin but it is not completely advisable. There are easy ways to get fair skin after lightening your dark skin. Fair skin tips even address the issue of dark skin discoloration. Yogurt and milk masks are good for skin lightening as is rubbing a slice of raw potato. The potato helps correct skin discoloration. Dabbing lemon juice helps correct skin discoloration but it is a strong agent and should be used in small quantities, for short spans of time. Using an avocado or a papaya mashed for the face is a great way to lighten your skin. Applying a mix of milk powder, lemon juice and almond oil is great for lightening your skin.

Exfoliation is also a good idea for dark and oily skin. Exfoliation helps new skin come to surface which you can then protect with sunscreen. While trying natural treatments for skin lightening, skin persevering is very important as it takes a while to see results but it is worth it. Though everybody wants fair skin, the aim should be to get healthy skin, color notwithstanding. A good diet, lots of water and rest and a good cleansing regime all work towards giving you a good healthy skin, free of any trouble.
