Gastritis is an inflammatory condition of the stomach lining. If appropriate care is not taken to heal the condition it can even lead to ulcers.
- Have small frequent meals at regular intervals. Preferably fix a particular time for meals and try to maintain that schedule.
- Coconut water is very good for gastritis, if you can tolerate it then drink 1 small glass daily.
- Chew a small piece of ginger with a pinch of salt for 5 minutes before meals to improve digestion.
- Keep yourself well hydrated; drink at least 10-12 glasses of water daily. Add a pinch of Asafoetida and cumin seeds in a glass of butter milk, drink this daily.
- Avoid fried/oily foods, spicy foods like black pepper, chilies, hot pepper and garlic), tea, coffee, cocoa, colas and chocolates. Stop eating any food for some time if it aggravates your condition.
- Avoid smoking, drinking alcohol and tobacco completely.
- Be physically active, a simple brisk walk for 30 minutes will also help to freshen your mind.
- Try and avoid any psychological stress and worries in life as this would worsen your condition.
