Health advice on tongue numbness on left side

what could cause numbness in the left side of the tongue?

Do you feel numbness anywhere else other than your tongue? If yes, it could be some neurologic problem or even the symptom of a migraine headache or something else. It is difficult to diagnose your problem based on one symptom.

I would suggest that you speak to an ENT (ear, nose and throat) specialist for a proper diagnosis.
