There are four types of spider bites that can be serious: 1. Black widow spider : black shiny body and a red or orange hour glass marking on the underside of its abdomen. 2. The brown recluse spider: Also called the fiddle-back spider because of the violin-shaped marking on its back.
Its found in Southern and midwest states. 3. Tho hobo spider: Brown with a herringbone-like pattern on top of its abdomen and is found in the pacific northwest. 4. The yellow sac spider: Light yellow with a slightly darker stripe on the upper middle of its abdomen. Call your doctor, a hospital or the local Poison Control Center (800-222-1222. Try and collect the spider, or any part of it. Until you get help, apply ice to reduce the swelling. Take nutrient with anti-inflammatory action-vitamin C with bioflavonoids, 500 to 1,00 mg every six to eight hours. Cut back if you get diarrhea. Mix two drops of peppermint essential oil to every ounce of witch hazel. Use a cotton ball to apply this otion and dab on as needed. Baking soda and rubbing alcohol can be made into a paste for some quick and easy relief too.
