Treating internal hemorrhoids

Piles or hemorrhoids occur due to the swelling of the blood vessels in the rectum. This swelling results in a formation of masses and clumps. When there is excessive pressure exerted in the rectum, these formations rupture and start bleeding. Some of the major causes include constipation, pregnancy, obesity and so on. It should however be noted that bleeding piles treatment is easier than most people think. Given below are some essential bleeding piles treatment options.

  • Figs are an excellent home remedy for treating piles. Using hot water wash around 4-5 figs and let them soak overnight. Eat the figs and drink the water first thing as you wake up the next morning. This should be done on an empty stomach. Do this also every evening, after soaking some more figs. You could continue this for may be an entire month as it also is an effective piles pain relief option.
  • Apple cider vinegar is also used for bleeding piles treatment. Take a few tablespoons before each meal. This kind of vinegar can also be applied to external piles to quickly stop the bleeding. The vinegar also helps to reduce the pain and swelling of the hemorrhoids.
  • Take a teaspoon of cayenne pepper and mix it into a cup of water. Apply this mixture to the piles to eliminate the bleeding. Do this for a couple of days.
  • Applying baking soda to the piles will prevent them from itching.
  • Another popular treatment for bleeding piles is to take a warm bath. Fill a small tub with weak tea or warm water and soak your hemorrhoids in the tub. Stay in the tub for about half an hour as this will soothe the piles. Bleeding piles treatment also includes applying warm tea bags directly to the piles for relief.

There are several options available for treating internal hemorrhoids. Internal hemorrhoids are those which occur inside the rectal canal. Symptoms of such hemorrhoids are a small amount of blood in the stool, a painful and incomplete bowel movement and rectal itching. Treatment for internal hemorrhoids include dietary and lifestyle changes. An increase in fiber intake as well as fluid intake will help to soften the stool. This will result in less pressure on the hemorrhoids and will help to get rid of internal hemorrhoids. A warm bath, several times a day is also helpful in treating internal piles. Another excellent home remedy for this is applying petroleum jelly to the area for relief. If the above home remedies do not provide relief, it is recommended that you consult your doctor who would provide you with other alternatives.
