At home beauty treatment
( 8 Sep 2010)

Everybody desires to look their best. Many people spend large amounts of money on a regular basis in beauty treatments at spas and beauty parlors. However it is also possible to achieve the same effect at home by using certain natural treatments.

Here are some home skin care tips and remedies that you can use for a home beauty treatment.

Beauty treatments do not only constitute caring for the body externally. The internal health of the body is reflected in the health of the skin, hair and nails. Therefore a proper diet is very important. A healthy diet must incorporate plenty of green leafy vegetables and other foods rich in antioxidants. One must also drink plenty of water for good health of the skin and hair. The condition and appearance of the skin also improves with regular physical activity. In addition, you may also use some home treatments which involve natural ingredients. An excellent treatment for the skin is application of a mixture of lime juice, glycerin and rose water. This helps to treat acne and also keeps the skin soft and supple. Papaya is another great natural treatment for the skin as it helps in alleviating many skin problems and also delays ageing of the skin. Apply a mask of mashed papaya on a regular basis for best results.

The best home treatment for dry hair is a regular scalp massage. This helps to improve blood circulation in the scalp and thus encourages hair growth. You may also use warm oil to massage the scalp. Natural oils such as olive, coconut, almond and castor oil are beneficial for promoting hair growth and preventing hair fall. For an effective home hair loss treatment, combine some aloe vera gel and coconut milk. Massage this into the scalp thrice every week. You may also add some honey to one egg yolk and apply to the scalp and hair shaft. This is a popular treatment for hair problems. Your home nail treatment should involve keeping the nails trimmed short and filed regularly. Avoid exposing the nails to detergents or chemicals as this could lead to brittleness. Wear rubber gloves when doing any manual work so that the nails are protected. A beneficial home treatment for the nails involves soaking the nails in a mixture of castor oil and essential oil of orange blossom. This helps to strengthen the nails and also improves their appearance.
