When you have just had your gallbladder removed it is important that you follow a low fat diet and most importantly, stick to it! It is not going to help the situation if you only follow the plan for a day or two. Fluids and a diet consisting of high fiber will help in the prevention of chronic constipation after the surgery.

You might feel full all the time, like you have just eaten a large meal and may also have a lot of gas. Low fat dairy products should be consumed after the surgery if you wish to keep healthy.

Stay away from any sort of fast food, oily food and fatty food.

The most oil you should consume on a daily basis is three teaspoons. Eat nice fresh fruit and vegetables everyday, that doesn’t have to be all you eat but add some in with the other foods or have as a snack throughout the day. Low fat yoghurt is a great option in your situation, a bowl of fresh fruit salad and yogurt could be your daily snack or lunch meal for a while until you find something else that is healthy enough that you will enjoy.
