Before you go to see your doctor, you should try the most effective way of dealing with heel pain from home. The heel is the most important part in the foot and it also gets the most strain from being on your feet all day. The first thing you should do is decrease the amount of time you spend on your feet.
The more activity you have each day, the more damaged the fascia becomes which will lead to more and more swelling and eventually become a serious issue. For many people, this will not be easy as their jobs might consist of them being on their feet all day, but you have to make some sort of plan for this. Also avoid carrying heavy things as that puts more weight on the heels of your feet.
Make sure you have supportive shoes that are comfortable to wear and don’t hurt your feet in any way. You could also try freezing a bottle of water, putting it on the floor and rolling your foot on it, the arch of your foot should feel most of the coldness but that doesn’t matter. Do this for about twenty minutes each day.
