One of the most common causes of bad breathe is due to bacteria in the mouth. The bacteria paves its way into the gums below the tooth line, where it is impossible to clean even the with the fanciest toothbrush. As the bacterium multiplies they destroy the gums and if left untreated could eventually cause tooth loss. The bacteria releases wastes that causes halitosis or bad breathe.
Given below are natural remedies that you could try for avoiding halitosis:
- Drink the tea made from fenugreek seeds. Prepare this tea by boiling 1 tsp fenugreek seeds in half liter water. Boil it for 15 minutes. Cool the mixture, strain and drink it.
- Juices of vegetables and fruits are very effective in the treatment of bad breath.
- Chew a green cardamom after meals for a long duration of time.
Other tips to control bad breath:
- Brush your teeth twice a day, particularly before bedtime.
- Remove particles such as meat carefully with toothpicks
- Swollen gums and tooth decay needs to be checked by a dentist.
Regular glossing and a mouthwash can control gum disease and bad breath. But chronic bad breath could signal other health condition such as liver disease, diabetes and so on.
