At your age, your weight seems to indicate that you are definitely not underweight and since you said that you do want to get bigger and taller, your body mass index or BMI would probably reaffirm this fact. Since you have not mentioned your height in particular, it would be difficult to ascertain if you are overweight; therefore, the way to proceed is detail out how you can maintain a healthy body. While a bulk of the growth you will experience for the rest of your life has already occurred, there might still be some bits of growing left to do and to maintain this, you should follow a strict regimen of exercise, diet, and sleep.
Exercise is very crucial to a growing body as it sculpts a growing body. The more that you exercise, the more your bones, lungs, muscles adjust for a more athletic body. If you are a woman then, perhaps, you would want to steer clear of gaining too much muscle mass so cardiovascular exercise is necessary. These are exercises like cycling, swimming, jogging, push-ups, and squats. The rule of cardiovascular exercise in general is that it consists of those activities in which you do not stress just one part of your body and that you are able to do it for at least an hour a day. Diet is the next big step here. A high protein diet is important for any kind of growth but most sources of protein generally come with a big slice of oil and fat. Therefore, try to stick to a high intake of plant protein like soy and tofu. The body needs to have all the vitamins it can so increase your intake of dairy, green leafy vegetables, and fish. Having these can completely take care of all your vitamin needs. You should only indulge in other types of meat once a week to get your supplement of fats and some of the rarer vitamins.
Sleep is an interesting aspect to growing. During sleep a substance called melatonin is created in the body and is one of the most powerful antioxidants in nature. Antioxidants attack free radicals that can stop cellular growth. You should also maintain a healthy lifestyle that does not include alcohol, smoking, and stressing. You should also stay away from artificial foods and keep your diet as natural as possible because there are more nutrients in organic foods.
