Erectile dysfunction cause and cures

The etiology of erectile dysfunction. I also need some remedies for it.
(22 May 2008)

Erectile dysfunction, more commonly known as ‘impotence’ refers to a man’s inability to achieve an erection, thereby disabling him from having sexual intercourse. Being unable to perform sexual intercourse can be devastating for a man. There are various levels of erectile dysfunction that range from complete inability to achieve an erection to being inconsistent in achieving an erection, or sustaining an erection for only a brief period of time.

All these variations make it difficult to properly classify erectile dysfunction. There are a number of steps involved with the attaining of an erection. It begins with stimulation of the mind and of the sense of touch or both together. Erectile dysfunction can come about by a disruption of either of these important factors.

Medical reasons for erectile dysfunction are damage caused to the nerves, tissues and fibers in the penis through kidney diseases, neurological disorders and diabetes. A lifestyle that makes one susceptible to heart ailments increases the chances of erectile dysfunction. Smoking, obesity and minimal exercise are other possible causes of erectile dysfunction. Studies also show that stress and fear of failure in sexual intercourse contribute to approximately twenty percent of the people suffering from erectile dysfunction. Another well known reason for erectile dysfunction is trouble in the relationship shared with your partner. Seeking help through therapy will be extremely effective if you include your partner in the whole program.

Aerobic exercise is a cheap, effective method of treating erectile dysfunction. A deficiency in Vitamin A is known to have caused erectile dysfunction and increasing your intake of this nutrient is beneficial. Relaxing, decreasing the intake of caffeine and carbohydrates, and daily exercise should keep you free from erectile dysfunction. Breathing techniques that help you to stay calm and relaxed and increase the flow of blood will help in avoiding erectile dysfunction. Alcohol and drug abuse are two major causes of erectile dysfunction. Keeping your alcohol intake regulated and your body free from enhancement substances is beneficial in treating erectile dysfunction. Trying medication for impotency are not always effective, as they are temporary agents and do not solve the problem of erectile dysfunction. Eating natural foods, getting enough exercise and keeping your self stress free are three important ways to cure erectile dysfunction. However, if these measures do not lead to an improvement in your condition, you will need to consult a specialist, who will guide you in your treatment and may suggest some suitable medication.

Erectile dysfunction cause and cures

In order to determine that you are actually suffering from erectile dysfunction, you should first get a medical confirmation. Once you get yourself examined and a doctor determines that you do indeed have erectile dysfunction, you should deal with the problem. It is important for you to remember that sometimes, erectile dysfunction can be a result of temporary conditions as well. At times, excessive stress can lead to it. Other times, it could simply be that you are not interested, or not in the mood to have sex. You cannot rule out any or all of these possibilities, just as you cannot come to the conclusion that you are suffering from erectile dysfunction due to a few times you have not performed.

It is observed that general exercise of any kind is an excellent way to improve your good health. A routine of regular exercise can also lead to a better and more fulfilling sex life since it adds to good moods and longevity. Preferably, you can indulge in about 30 minutes of Yoga daily, and more if you can manage it. If not, a brisk walk is also good enough. This will also help you considerably if you are under extreme stress.
