There are many reasons why the natural oil fails to reach from the scalp to the shafts and tips of the hair, making our hair looks dry and lifeless. The appearance of the hair is not such a big problem; dull and dry hair also becomes brittle, leading to hair fall and split ends. Hair loss and split ends are two problems that cannot be completely reversed.
So it’s always best to prevent the hair from becoming dry. The problem of dryness can be avoided with some care. Avoid troublemakers like overexposure to the sun, pollution, and extreme weather. Always wear a hat or scarf when you step out of your home. Styling products like hair dyes and colors, and perming or straightening gels should also be avoided, as the chemical content in these strip away the oil from the hair. Heating equipments like irons and blow dryers also have a drying effect on hair. All these should be used as sparingly as possible. Avoid washing hair with hot water and wash it only every alternate day. Chemical-based shampoos and conditioners should also be avoided.
One factor we ignore when it comes to the health of hair is nutrition. Vitamins and proteins are very essential for our hair’s health and if we have deficiencies of these nutrients, it shows in our hair. So, eat as many fresh fruits and vegetables and green leafy vegetables as possible. Drinking at least two liters of water daily hydrates the body and hair. You must oil your hair at least twice a week and condition every time you wash it. A hot oil treatment and deep conditioning once a week also gives excellent results. There are many natural remedies that will moisturize your hair and make it healthy. The egg treatment is one of the best treatments. Separate the egg white and yolk. Whip the white thoroughly, and add 1 tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend till it turns creamy. Then, mix the white and yolk together. After wetting your hair with warm water, apply the mixture gently and work up froth. Rinse the hair with cool water. Finish up the mix completely and wash your hair thoroughly. You can also mash an over-ripe banana with one ripe avocado, and massage the mix into your hair. Let it stay for 20 minutes before washing the hair off. Smear a generous amount of full-fat mayonnaise on your hair, leave it for 20 minutes and then wash your hair off.

jojoba oil is very good for dry hair....get it trimed as well....

You more then likely need EFA oil. Depending on your weight. Its goes by 1 tablespoon per 50lb body weight. You can use flax oil or hemp oil . Put it on salad or in a protien drink.It will clear it up in a couple of weeks. In the mean time, Before bed,put a little olive oil in the palms of your hand and rub it together like you are washing your hands.Then touch your dry hair.rub it into your ends.Go to sleep.You do not need much!! When you wake up Lightly wash with a very mild shampoo. Do the oil oil when ever you think you hair look dry. 30 years in the hair business. IT Works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!

I use Coconut Oil or Olive Oil mixed with 1 Tablespoon of Hair conditioner mix well and apply to the hair, leave on for a few hours, then shampoo hair to remove oil and apply conditioner again do this at least once a week until the dryness is gone. Cynthia Padayachy

Apply aloe vera gel at the hair roots. Do not wash it off. let it dry up Take yellow skin banana with a glass of milk at bedtime. Amala hair oil, Hair oil made from "java kusum" flowers, also known as Jaswanti or Hibiscus is also a remedy
