Chronic vaginal yeast or bacterial infections may be an indication of a weakened immune system, so immune supportive therapies may also be indicated. Oral probiotics and probiotics used as a suppository may be helpful. Also, 1-2 boric acid capsules nightly used as a suppository may be used for a week or ten days. This will change the pH balance enough to make it less hospitable for yeast (or bacteria) to multiply. Also, many people find avoidance of sugar and refined carbohydrates to be important. Drink plenty of pure/filtered water. Consult your health care practitioner if symptoms do not resolve within two weeks.Dr. Karen Benton, NDwww.countrydoc.com
