Toothaches are the most common problem in the world today. Besides being common the pain experienced is also very excruciating and agonizing. A person with a toothache would not only find it difficult to sleep at night but also to do daily activities like speaking and eating and laughing.
It is therefore necessary that we take good care of our teeth in order to avoid such dreadful and painful situations. Toothaches refer to a decay of the tooth and therefore it would be necessary that you visit a dentist and get your tooth checked. This is important so as to avoid any sort of delay and worsening of the situation. Only a dentist would be able to correctly identify the problem related to your toothache and supply you with the necessary medication to solve the problem.
You need to keep in mind that home remedies would only go on to give you temporary relief from your situation and will not cure you completely. Therefore you could use some of the remedies mentioned below if you are looking for a temporary relief from the pain. Cloves are considered to be an excellent remedy when it comes to toothaches. You could dip a ball of cotton in some clove oil and place it between the aching tooth and its neighbor. In the absence of clove oil you could take clove itself and place it in a similar fashion and let the clove juice work its magic on the tooth. Proper hygienic practices are necessary to keep the infection from spreading. Brush your teeth every time you finish eating your meals. This is necessary in order that no food particles be stuck in your tooth cavities. If brushing your teeth is not possible a regular gargle would also serve the purpose.
Application of a warm compress on the outside would also help in providing you with some relief from the pain. Besides this you can also use garlic to provide relief and also cure the decay. Garlic is a natural anti bacterial and would help in killing the germs that spread the infection. Take some garlic and place it between the aching tooth and the one next to it and let the juice flow out to heal the tooth. Remember however, not to keep the garlic for too long as it could cause burning of the gums. Chewing on raw onion is also known to provide considerable relief from the toothache. It is best to get your tooth checked by the dentist for a permanent cure.
