Lemon, for ages has been used as an excellent skin lightener. This is because of the acidic properties that it possesses. The acidic properties of lemon make it one of the most widely used natural skin bleaching agents.
As you already know that lemon could be used to help lighten your skin tone; your presumption on using it for your teeth is also very true.
If you are suffering from discolored teeth, you need to keep in mind that this could be due to a major problem and just using lemon would not help remedy your condition. Tooth discoloration could be a result of some infection or also the lack of proper tooth hygiene. The teeth are a very important part of our body and it is necessary that we take good care of them. Teeth not only help in the process of chewing, but are also necessary while speaking and is an important feature of your aesthetics. This is probably the main reason that people seek to have their teeth in good shape and shining bright. One should however remember that healthy teeth are not perfectly white in color, but a little off white in color.
Maintaining good oral hygiene is very important especially as the mouth is exposed to a variety of bacteria and this could cause infection in the area. Besides, the problem of bad breath could be very prominent if good oral hygiene is not maintained. There are quite a few methods which you could use to maintain good oral hygiene and avoid unnecessary infections in the oral area. The first and most important thing is to brush your teeth twice a day daily. This can be done in the morning when you wake up and just before you go to bed at night. If the brushing is accompanied by regular flossing it will further improve the condition of your teeth. Gargle your mouth every time you are done eating a meal as this will help drain out all the food particles that are stuck in the gaps and cavities of your teeth. Brushing your teeth with a few drops of lemon juice on the toothpaste will help brighten the color of your teeth. You can also add a pinch of salt to the mixture as an added effect. However you need to keep in mind that regular use of this application could drain the teeth of its necessary composition and make it brittle. If you want to brighten your teeth using lemon make sure you restrict its usage to twice a month.
