Obesity is a condition that is a result of excessive accumulation of fat in the body. Excess fat causes obesity that could lead to many health problems. Losing weight is not as easy as gaining it.
But with effort, self confidence, modification in your life style and most of patience; it is possible to lose sensible amount of weight.
Diet tips for weight loss:
- Consume whole grains instead of refined ones
- Choose monounsaturated fats including olive oil and soy oil over saturated fats such as butter, margarine etc.
- Drink skim or low fat milk instead of whole milk
- It’s a good option to roast, boil or bake meat and fish as this cooking method destroys the fat present
- Never skip meals, consume three regular meals per day.
Home remedies for obesity
- Exercise is the key to weight loss.
Workout for minimum 30 minutes everyday - Walking is very method for losing weight.
- Practice Yoga postures such as surya namaskar, bhujanga asan and dhanur asan
- Drink a warm glass of water to which half a juice of lime and 1 tsp spoon of honey is mixed. Drink this mixture on an empty stomach
- Prepare a mixture of 1 cup water, 3-4 teaspoon lime juice, half teaspoon pepper powder and 1 teaspoon honey. Drink this mixture everyday for 3 to 4 months
