Fair skin is generally regarded as the symbol of beauty and most women desire to be called beautiful. Sometimes, you may be fair, but your complexion may be uneven. Dark patches of skin look especially unsightly when the rest of your complexion is fair.

It is generally seen that women suffer from the problem of darker upper lips. This can be attributed to frequent shocks to the area while uprooting the hairs.
As you keep on uprooting the hair on your upper lips, you tend to open your pores which may get pigmented on account of extreme weather conditions and this causes a darkening of the upper lip. Here are a few natural remedies to relieve the condition:

You should use lemon juice on your upper lips as a scrub to remove the dead skin from this area. Lemon juice is an excellent bleaching agent, which will lighten the skin tone of your upper lips, with very minimal or no serious repercussions.

Sprinkle a few crystals of sugar on your upper lips and delicately rub them with lemon juice till such time that the sugar crystals melt. This will remove the dead skin on your upper lips and lighten the skin tone of the region.

You may also massage your upper lips with yogurt, let it stay for a while, and then rub the dried yogurt off your upper lips. This will also help you in getting rid of darker upper lips.

Apply a paste of freshly ground turmeric and lemon juice so as to brighten the skin tone of your upper lips.

Potato is a potent bleaching agent and as such, may be employed to lighten any dark skin on your upper lip or other parts of the body. Keep the slices of potato on the affected areas for about 15 minutes and then wash it off to attain the desired result.

You may also use a mixture of a teaspoon each of milk powder, honey, lemon juice, and almond oil as a pack to remove the dead cells on your upper lips, and lighten the pigmentation in the area.

You may also use a paste of oatmeal, yogurt and tomato juice which will remove the tan and dead cells on your upper lips, thereby relieving you of darker upper lips.

You can also apply a preparation of ground and dried orange peels, and yogurt on your face to lighten dark upper lips.
