Gaining weight for many people is more difficult than loosing weight. Those who are thin, petit, skinny, will find it difficult. Aswagandha, when boiled in milk at bedtime, along with dates, hoeny is a weight gain potion. Banana with milk is also useful. If you can get cow clarified butter, you can add 1 tsp to milk. cow clarified butter is pacifier to both vata and pitta, thus helps gaining weight. Vata and pitta are the body humours which prevent gaining weight. Homeostasis mechanism is very strong here. Masny other remedies are discussed at above link.
