After getting up in the morning, the first thing to reach your stomach should be half a cup of yogurt in which 1/4 tsp turmeric powder is mixed well. This relieves swelling and pain in less than a week. Faster remedy is taking lime juice of 1 lemon and 1 glass of milk (even if you are allergic to milk, do not worry, lemon takes care of allergy) together, early morning empty stomach. This reduces pain and welling so rapidly that this needs to be taken just 3 to 4 days. Diet is also important, and is already recommended to be rich in fiber, no chillies or warming foods, hot spicy dishes. Taking a banana with milk at bedtime is also useful, especially if you can mix in 1 tsp of cow clarified butter in milk. This softens stools and gives good sleep also.
