Best Head Lice Treatment

Do you know a lice cure
(31 Mar 2010)

There are several effective ways to get rid of lice. However, the best way to do so is to stay as far away as possible from the person who gifted you the lice in the first place! Try and be militant about locating the source of the lice, which is the best way of making sure that you do not get lice again.

The first thing you need to do is to change all your bed linen. Lice eggs are nearly microscopic and they shed everywhere. So if you believe you have gotten rid of lice but tend to ignore the eggs, it is possible you failed to achieve what you aimed for.  The next thing is to try and ensure that you are following safe and hygienic practices of hair care. These would include basic things like washing frequently and combing properly. In order to kill off lice in one sweep, an excellent remedy is to use a few drops of pure and unadulterated tea tree oil in a bottle of regular shampoo. Tea tree oil is poisonous for lice and they will not be able to survive the onslaught of the dangerous effects of the oil if it is used regularly. Try and wash your hair everyday with a bit of the shampoo for best results. Please do keep in mind that tea tree oil may not be used for children below the age of 5 years. This is not safe for the eyes and the delicate mucous membranes of the eyes may very well become damaged if it gets into a child’s eyes. As it were, even adults need to exercise extreme caution while using this product.

Another really good way to got rid of lice is to apply and leave mayonnaise in the hair for about a couple of hours. It is believed that the texture of the mayonnaise will help to kill of the head lice by choking them to death. Apart from this, the mustard that is present in the mayonnaise will also be effective in destroying any living organisms with its pungency. It is also important, at least for the time being, to change bed clothing daily. You should also leave your bedding soaked in hot water to which generous amounts of bleach has been added for sanitization. Please check and see to it that you do not allow any breeding grounds for the lice to thrive in. This is the most significant thing in getting rid of them altogether.
