Scabies is caused by Sarcoptes scabei var hominis, a parasite. A bath with 15 drops of tea tree oil proves beneficial, as terpinen-4-ol, present in the oil has a static action. Over-the-counter creams, ointments and sprays with permethrin are effective remedies.

Lice control sprays are also helpful, as they contain permethrin in minimal quantities. Oily juice of the margosa fruit heals scabies. Continuous application is essential.

Make a tea of margosa leaves and turmeric powder. Take 11 leaves of margosa (or 1 tsp margosa leaves powder) and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder in two cups of water. boil till 1 cup remains. Strain and drink this tea thrice a day. 1. early morning empty syomach  2. afternoon, 2hours after lunch and 3. at sunset time.

Itching should reduce in 2 days and the pimples should come to head in a week.

If fresh leaves are available, you can steam them, make a paste and apply locally like a poultice. Or if you get margosa oil, apply locally to relieve itching.
