Suggestions for post nasal drip

It is very essential to know the exact cause for the post nasal drip as the treatment will follow according to the underlining cause.

• Clear the nose and throat by removing all the possible mucus, but don’t get obsessed and leave your nose with rashes.

• Drink an herbal tea made by boiling grated ginger, honey, mint leaves, basil leaves and lemon juice in water. This will help to clear the throat and fight post nasal drainage. Also include lots of fluid in a day.
  
  
  
• Steam taken from boiling water will also help to clear the nasal passage, soothe the throat and thus help in the treatment of post nasal drip. Add carom seeds or a vaporizer in the water.
• Avoid the allergen if it is due to some allergy. Also avoid spicy, oily or fried foods that help to trigger the nasal drip.
