Dandruff is probably the most common scalp condition known to man and, while it generally has no serious medical complications, can be very frustrating and irritating. Dandruff is essentially the excessive shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp and is usually the result of request exposure to varying intensities of heat and cold. One of the common biological causes of dandruff involves the natural process of skin shedding.

The skin cells on our bodies are in a constant state of renewal and when the skin cells on the scalp are renewed, the old ones are pushed out to the surface of the scalp and gradually discarded. However, when a person is suffering from dandruff, the entire renewal process is much faster, meaning that more dead skin needs to be shed – causing the dandruff to be more prominent. Not many people are aware of the fact that a lack of hair brushing may be a very important part of the development of dandruff. This is primarily because of the fact that brushing your hair regularly assists in the process of dead skin shedding. When this is not available, the amount of dead skin that simply falls of the scalp is much more. Individual’s that are sensitive to yeast are more likely to suffer from dandruff. These individuals are also likely to notice that the condition is substantially subdued during the summer months while becoming more prominent during the winter.

Because of the fact that dandruff is such a common condition, there are a number of rather effective home remedies that will help not only control eh condition, but even eradicate it in the long run. The use of fenugreek seeds when dealing with dandruff is known to be one of the most effective treatment options. All you need to do is to soak two tablespoons in some water over the course of the night and grind it into a fine paste in the morning. Apply this paste all over the scalp and leave it on for about an hour. Rinse your hair thoroughly with the help of warm water before washing it a second time with some soap nut solution. Both, the tips and roots, of beets should be boiled in water and the water should be thoroughly massaged into the scalp with the fingertips every night. White beet is known to be more effective.  Massaging the scalp with some curd that has been left open for three days is known to be very effective as well while rinsing your hair with apple cider vinegar after washing your hair with shampoo is also known to be very beneficial.
